The YiaYia and Grandpa's Farm family

A new farm, the old way of doing things.

We started YiaYia and Grandpa's Farm in 2025 on a quiet patch of land outside Moores Hill, Indiana. We're new to farming, but we're not new to caring about where food comes from. It's a family operation through and through — everyone pitches in to keep things running.

Right now we're raising Kunekune pigs, a flock of sheep, and a flock of American Bresse hens — a prized French heritage breed raised for both eggs and meat. We also raise Cornish Cross meat chickens. Lamb shares are coming in 2027, and South Poll cattle — grass-finished on pasture — are joining the farm that same year. We farm Beyond Organic: certified organic feed, real care, and practices that go further than the rules require. We're not chasing labels — just raising food we'd feed our own family.

If you've ever wanted to know your farmer — to see where your food was raised and meet the people who raised it — this is that kind of place. Stop by, ask us anything, and thanks for being part of how we grow.
